Forwarding Settings

SMS Forwarding

Selecting SMS Forwarding allows you to enter either a single mobile number or a comma separated string of numbers to which all received messages will be forwarded. The Messenger portal does not need to be open for the messages to be forwarded. A copy of received messages will still be available in the Messenger Inbox.

Clicking the Alias Sender option means that the forwarded messages will appear to the recipient to have come from the originating mobile number as opposed to the Messenger Account number. Forwarded messages are charged to your account under your normal terms.

Note: This option is not available for premium accounts.

Email Forwarding

Selecting Email Forwarding allows you to enter either a single email or a comma separated string of addresses to which all received messages will be forwarded. The Messenger portal does not need to be open for the messages to be forwarded. A copy of received messages will still be available in the Messenger Inbox unless you have set up your system to retrieve messages via POP3 as well, in which case the messages will be deleted.

Enable Group Forwarding

When this option is checked inbound messages starting with GRP groupname will be automatically forwarded to a contact group. For example, when the message ‘GRP Team The match has been called off!’ will cause the text message ‘The match has been called off!’ to all contacts in the group ‘Team’.
